Succession

Where to watch →“Money, power, and family dysfunction—it's the only game in town, and everyone's playing for keeps.”
What it's about
A media-empire patriarch dangles his company in front of his four awful adult children, who proceed to backstab, betray, and brunch their way through four seasons of corporate Shakespeare. Nobody hugs. Everybody loses.
The verdict
Possibly the best-written show of the 2020s. Jesse Armstrong's dialogue is so dense with wit and venom you need subtitles even if English is your first language. Every Roy sibling has a defining episode, the boardroom scenes have more tension than most thrillers, and the finale was a quiet little gut-shot. "Boar on the floor" lives in my brain forever. Watch it twice.
The verdict
6/10
