Margo's Got Money Troubles Review: Is Elle Fanning's Apple TV+ Comedy Worth Watching?

Margo's Got Money Troubles wants to be your next scrappy underdog obsession — and half the time it actually is. Elle Fanning plays Margo, a college dropout who ends up with a baby, a stack of bills, and a wrestler dad (Nick Offerman, delightfully unhinged) crashing on her couch. When traditional options dry up, she pivots to an OnlyFans-adjacent hustle and accidentally builds an empire.

When it hits, it hits — Fanning is charming, Offerman brings the show's biggest laughs, and there's a genuinely sharp streak about how impossible it is to be young, broke, and a parent in 2026. The show has real things to say about class, work, and the performance economy.

But it also can't quite decide what it is: raunchy comedy, tender coming-of-age, or prestige melodrama. The tonal whiplash gets tiring, and a few episodes drag their feet when they should be sprinting. Nicole Kidman shows up doing Nicole Kidman things, which you'll either love or side-eye depending on your mood.

Worth a watch — but manage your expectations. It's good. It's not great. Yet.
