What it's about

Kate Winslet, vape pen in hand and Delco accent fully deployed, plays a small-town Pennsylvania detective unraveling a teen murder while her own life implodes. Hoagies and heartbreak in equal measure.

The verdict

A perfect seven-episode mystery. The whodunit is genuinely surprising, but the real show is grief — Winslet does the best work of her career, the supporting cast is loaded (Evan Peters! Julianne Nicholson!), and the finale lands like a punch to the sternum. Limited series done right. Now go google "Wawa" and weep.
