Landman is unapologetically Sheridan: big trucks, bigger speeches, and a worldview that loves its roughnecks and its billionaires in equal measure.

Billy Bob Thornton is having the time of his life as Tommy Norris, the fixer holding the whole greasy operation together. It's pulpy, often wildly un-PC, and absolutely rips along.

Ali Larter fully commits to the unhinged ex-wife Angela, while Michelle Randolph’s Ainsley—the cheerleading daughter—is as self-absorbed as she is grating. The only real grounding presence is their son, Cooper, whose selflessness and naivety sets him apart from the rest of the family.

Like most Sheridan shows, the characters are layered and well built—even when they tip into excess.
