A slow burn type of show — and a rewarding one. Furious follows FBI agent Alice Black (Emmy Rossum) as she hunts Catherine Grace (Lola Petticrew), a calm, calculating serial killer who reaches her victims through manufactured intimacy. It takes its time getting where it is going, but there are enough twists and turns along the way to keep you coming back.

The pairing is the whole engine of the show. Alice is a former NYPD homicide detective stuck on the bottom rung of the FBI, all instinct and bruised ambition; Catherine is chameleonic, deliberate, and terrifyingly good at becoming exactly the woman a powerful man wants her to be. As Alice closes in, the two begin circling each other directly, and the line between hunter and hunted — between justice and something messier — starts to blur in ways the show handles with real control.

What stops Furious from being just another serial-killer procedural is its patience with motive. The men Catherine targets are connected by a web of abuse, and the series is unflinching about what that means without ever turning her into a simple avenger.

Furious is not a scream-along ride; it is a slow, tightening knot that rewards attention and pays you off in full by the finale.
