John Paul Miller is the kind of subject true crime was invented for: polished, camera-ready, and somehow always the victim in his own telling. Watching him cycle through explanations while his congregation rallies around him is infuriating in the best way. The filmmakers keep the focus tight on the women in his orbit, and their testimony is what gives the doc its real power.
